Compensate your CO₂ emission. And more.
For buyers
For companies, government agencies, organizations and consumers
Buying ecosystem services is of interest to companies, government agencies, organizations and consumers that wish to compensate their own CO2 footprint and/or wish to invest in additional water storage and biodiversity. aESTI supports this process in several ways:
We facillitate the trade in ecosystem services by connecting supply and demand. In doing so, buyers can directly support farmers (also locally). Our first step in this process is this market place for soil sequestered CO2 certificates. We maximize the reward for our farmers: 90% of the value of each certificate directly goes to the farmer. The remaining 10% is used to cover the costs of aESTI.
We define and certify ecosystem services. To be able to buy and sell these, ecosystem services need to be defined accurately and these specifications need to be controllable and verifiable (certification). aESTI develops these certificates for CO2 sequestration, water storage and biodiversity. We make use of smart controls. In doing so we are able to keep the costs of our certificates low, making them economically viable for small to mid sized farms.
The Voluntary Carbon Market has been too convoluted (for too long). This complexity led to a long value chain with a prominent role of brokers and intermediaries, who are capturing a large share of the financial benefits. aESTI is aiming to scale down the value chain and provide maximum benefits to the true actors of reversing the effects of climate change: farmers and farming communities. As a developer of bespoke socio-environmental projects, Kennemer Eco Solutions stresses the importance of such a platform and is proud to collaborate with aESTI.

How does it work?
Farmers sequester CO₂
Through the application of sustainable farming practices, CO2 is captured from the air and sequestered as carbon in the soil. Long term. You can read here how farmers do this.
We measure the outcome
Through the smart use of modern technologies and publicly available data sources, ESTI can accurately determine how much CO2 is sequestered. How aESTI does this, you can read here.
You compensate your emission
By buying CO2 credits. With farmers also in your neighbourhood, with whom you support the transition to sustainable farming. aESTI guarantees that 90% of the credit value directly goes to the farmer.
CO2 soil sequestration is possible through proper soil management: less artificial fertilizer, less tillage and a wider crop plan (more diversity of crops, that are grown less often on the same area).
aESTI has developed a cheap, yet very reliable control protocol. This makes it possible for local farmers, big and small, to trade their sequestered CO2.
CO2 is only the beginning. Proper soil management also leads to better water storage and more biodiversity. Outcomes that are equally important to ensure a better quality of our living environment. Our next step is to also develop and trade credits for these ecosystem services.
